Well located and close to train station Good food Typical business room a little bigger than usual but not much Free wi-fi
This quite big western style hotel really paid off. After arrival the staff upgraded our room for free. Pure cleanliness is obvious like in any place in Japan I have vidsited. It is about 15 minutes walk from Matsumoto castle and only a few minutes walk from Matsumoto train station. I would recommend this hotel.
Great location (just next to Matsumoto Station), right in the middle of the city. Comfort room, friendly staffs & great value!
Good location: very closed to train station and city center Staff very nice and someone speak also english language (not so common in Japan)
Tiny room, unconfortable bed-pillow
We stayed here for a few days, to discover the city and the surrounding mountains. It's a 5 min. walk from the train station and the bus terminal, and on walking distance of restaurants, bars, sightseeingspots etc. As usual in Japan the room wasn't too big, but it suited for what we needed it for. All equipment was there (even a refill of coffee/tea every day), airco was silent, the staff was always helpful, breakfast offered plenty of choice.
Location - we arrived on the bus and only had to walk over the road to the hotel. Close to train station and food shops. An easy 10min walk to the Matsumoto Castle. The room was simple but clean and tidy. The staff spoke excellent english.
Stayed over night at Matsumoto Tokyu Inn to visit the Matsumoto castle. This is our first trip to Japan and we were concerned that we would get lost. However, the hotel is right across from the train station and easy to locate. (If you need help, there is a information center in the train station). Tokyu Inn is close to restaurants and shopping and about a 10 minute walk to the Castle. Friendly staff, nice soft beds and very clean rooms. Loved it!!! Great value..
Staff is great friendly and helpfule, well in English. Free wifi around the hotel. Rooms are small but clean. The hotet is closed to Matsumoto station.
The location plus they had free wi-fi.
The display pillows seems dusty as i had rashes after hugging it for one night.
Was a good spot for sightseeing. No air conditioning working. Open window noisy.
Close to railway and food was good.
They gave us a free upgrade (1.6 meter-size bed to 2.2 meter-size bed) without us asking for it. Possibly as a result, the room was bigger than we had expected. (To be frank, I had pretty low expectations for room- size, this being Japan)
I showed the front desk a copy of the reservations I had made at Booked.net. The staff seemed puzzled and said, "I do not see your name written on this printout." This worked out in the end, as I gave the staff my name and he was eventually able to find my name in the hotel's database. It is possible that the Booked.net printout was intentionally designed not to show the name (for privacy concerns perhaps?) but in any case, it'd have been better if the staff was more familiar with how to handle the situation.
Tokyu Inn was convenient for the station and town. It was comfortable and very good value for money.
The look of the building - very functional but it didn't matter as Tokyu Inns are designed to be in a convenient location and probably used alot for business travellers.
It's in a great location, a few minutes from the train station.
I thought it wasn't a good value for the price. Also our room was dated and felt cramped, even though we paid extra for the "larger" deluxe double. I wouldn't stay here again and would try a different place next time I visit Matsumoto.
Good service, central location, modern with fast wifi connection
Car park a bit far but not bad
